This six-week Crime Scene Investigation Level 1 course is designed to provide foundation learning and skills development for CSIs appointed into VCSI/Level 1 positions.
It will introduce ethical and behavioural best practice as well as providing foundational inputs in core competency areas, including photography (record and evidential), scene approach, static and dynamic risk assessment, DNA, trace evidence and fingerprint enhancement. In addition to the above, it will provide non-assessed awareness inputs on firearms, fire scenes and drugs.
This course is only for Crime Scene Investigators working in a Police Force.
This course is approved by the Chartered Society of Forensic Sciences for CPD Certification.
