Dr Micol Zuppello PhD, MSc, BSc, FRAI (cert FA-II)
Dr Micol Zuppello is a Forensic Anthropologist at Alecto Forensics Services and is a certified level II Forensic Anthropologist by the Royal Anthropological Institute of Great Britain and Ireland.
Micol holds a PhD in the subject of human identification and age estimation in living individuals (University of Dundee), an MSc in Human Anatomy and Advanced Forensic Anthropology (University of Dundee), an MSc in Biodiversity and Evolution (University of Bologna) and a BSc in Natural Sciences.
Micol supports Alecto’s forensic casework and assists different police forces in the recovery and identification of human remains. This includes the excavation and analysis of skeletonised, decomposed, burnt, and fragmented, adult and juvenile human remains.
Prior to joining AFS, Micol conducted forensic casework for Police Scotland on behalf of the University of Dundee, worked for the University of Dundee as a demonstrator in Forensic Anthropology and Archaeology, and worked for the University of Birmingham as a Demonstrator and Teaching Fellow in Human Anatomy.
Micol is also experienced in delivering teaching and training and organising workshops in Forensic Anthropology and Human Anatomy.
